Our story in automotive ecommerce

25+ years building enterprise ecommerce and data platforms, with 20+ years dedicated to the automotive aftermarket

Building automotive ecommerce at scale

The Parts Bin → CarParts.com

Daniel Hofmann began in the industry leading the engineering team at The Parts Bin, which was acquired by U.S. Auto Parts (the company behind what is known today as CarParts.com). During this era, he helped build and evolve the ecommerce systems that powered major online properties — including Auto Parts Warehouse (rebranded as carparts.com) and a network of hundreds of sites — where performance, catalog accuracy, and fitment data were mission-critical.

2009–2013

Co-founding Auto Parts Network

Real merchant operations at scale

Daniel went on to co-found Auto Parts Network, an independent multi-vendor ecommerce business integrated with dozens of warehouse distributors and specialty vendors. The company supported a wide range of categories — including replacement parts, performance, accessories, and wheels & tires — and reached millions of dollars in annual sales, proving the platform and operational model at real scale. This work also included supporting B2B/B2C ecommerce programs for Meineke Corporation.

Parts Square is born

A platform built from experience, not theory

After seeing the same problems repeat across retailers, brands, and distributors — fragmented catalogs, brittle integrations, and fulfillment complexity — Daniel created Parts Square to be a true automotive-first commerce backbone: a platform other serious sellers could build on without reinventing the wheel.

How we work

Parts Square is founder-led and intentionally focused — combining enterprise discipline with fast, direct execution.

Platform architecture and product direction are driven directly by Daniel.

Implementation, migrations, and specialized integrations are supported by a trusted bench of senior engineers and specialists when needed.

Core systems are treated as long-term infrastructure — stable, versioned, and built to evolve without breaking production.

Reliability, support, and long-term continuity

Parts Square is operated with production-grade practices because automotive ecommerce is a system — not a side project.

Structured onboarding

with clear milestones (catalog, vendors, fitment, payments, launch)

Documented configurations

and repeatable workflows so your business isn't dependent on tribal knowledge

Monitoring, backups, and controlled releases

to keep production stable

Support that reaches engineering

when issues impact sales or operations

Support expectations

We respond to standard requests within two business days, and we respond within hours to urgent, production-impacting issues.
