25+ years building enterprise ecommerce and data platforms, with 20+ years dedicated to the automotive aftermarket
The Parts Bin → CarParts.com
Daniel Hofmann began in the industry leading the engineering team at The Parts Bin, which was acquired by U.S. Auto Parts (the company behind what is known today as CarParts.com). During this era, he helped build and evolve the ecommerce systems that powered major online properties — including Auto Parts Warehouse (rebranded as carparts.com) and a network of hundreds of sites — where performance, catalog accuracy, and fitment data were mission-critical.
Real merchant operations at scale
Daniel went on to co-found Auto Parts Network, an independent multi-vendor ecommerce business integrated with dozens of warehouse distributors and specialty vendors. The company supported a wide range of categories — including replacement parts, performance, accessories, and wheels & tires — and reached millions of dollars in annual sales, proving the platform and operational model at real scale. This work also included supporting B2B/B2C ecommerce programs for Meineke Corporation.
A platform built from experience, not theory
After seeing the same problems repeat across retailers, brands, and distributors — fragmented catalogs, brittle integrations, and fulfillment complexity — Daniel created Parts Square to be a true automotive-first commerce backbone: a platform other serious sellers could build on without reinventing the wheel.
Enterprise infrastructure, founder-led execution
Parts Square powers turnkey storefronts and backend commerce workflows for businesses that need enterprise-level catalog, vendor, and fulfillment logic — without a fragile patchwork of tools.
Parts Square is led by Daniel Hofmann, a software engineer and ecommerce architect who has spent his career building and operating enterprise-grade systems for the automotive aftermarket — from major online retailers to founder-led multi-vendor commerce businesses.
Parts Square is the result of that full journey: the platform Daniel wished existed when scale, catalog accuracy, and fulfillment complexity were non-negotiable.
